What would a Transitional Creature Look Like?

OK creationists, I know it's hard to entertain hypothetical ideas. Woodenly literal ones are much easier to think about, but try. Let's just pretend. You don't have to agree that they exist, but you are always asking for examples of "transitional creatures" or their fossils, and refuse to agree that all creatures are transitional, because evolution. (Actually, I would say that creatures that are or were on the brink of extinction would not be transitional because it's curtains for them, evolutionarily speaking. They cannot "transit".)

But what I'd like to know is what your idea of a transitional creature would be. What would one look like? What would make it a transitional as opposed to a non-transitional form?

Would Tiktaalik qualify? Why or why not? If not, what would qualify (even if you think it is imaginary)?

Images or descriptions of what you would consider to be transitional if it was real, please.
