OK. I know that intelligent design is supposed to have nothing whatsoever to do with religion or creator gods, but help me out here. What exactly is it imagined to have done?
1) Create a universe?
2) Create life from non-living matter?
3) Create all the variety of living forms by some means other than evolution?
If the intelligent designer created the physical world, why could it not have been intelligent enough to have created it in such a way that the physical world itself was capable of bringing forth life, just as the book of Genesis says?
And why could that life not be capable of evolving?
I really have no idea what "intelligent design" has to say on these questions.
