The Remain vote was 16,141,241
At the time of writing this, signatures for revoking Article 50 are at 6,062,475.
This means that 37.5% of Remainers signed the petition.
How many Brexiteers signed the petitions for leaving without a deal?
Let's be generous and add the scores of two petitions despite the fact that many people must have signed both.
The numbers are 604,938 for going out with no deal in March,
and 227,562 for going out on April 12th
and 227,562 for going out on April 12th
That's 832,500
Now, if No-Dealers signed these petitions at the same rate as Remainers, 37.5%, this number represents 37.5%
of No-Dealers.
of No-Dealers.
So the No-Dealers would number 832,500 x 100 / 37.5 =
2,220,000.
2,220,000.
Brexiteers who do not support no deal can equally be represented as the difference, 17,410,742 - 2,220,000 = 15,190,742
To summarise,
No-Deal Brexiters, 2,220,000
Brexiters not supporting no deal, 15,190,742
Remainers, 16,141,241
Brexiters not supporting no deal, 15,190,742
Remainers, 16,141,241
I think we have a clear winner!
