One Matt Uldriks (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100010041251039) sent me a very disturbing video via Facebook messenger saying, "Please help me make this go viral on fb..they keep blocking my post". It is of a guy sitting with a small child, trying to get it to stand, and whenever it fails to do so, he slaps and hits it, even picking it up by the arms and then by the ears, to the child's extreme pain and distress. Someone is recording this, oblivious to the abuse.
I thought I'd post the video with a warning of disturbing content, but Facebook does not provide a facility to do so. Many people have asked for such a facility, but Facebook ignores their requests, just as they ignore all help messages.
Therefore I have posted the video to this page on my personal blog with a warning that it is very distressful. I don't know what the perp's language is, and Matt has just replied to me saying, "We are trying to track down this guy to turn him in." This is a sick individual, but, I think, totally ignorant too, not knowing that children have such a strong instinct to stand and walk that they will do it as soon as they are ready. I doubt also that he appreciates the psychological damage he is causing.
